Kampung Panchor Hot Spring has finally evolved almost like an internationally acceptable level. Its one of the most recent tourist spots in the state of Sarawak that was declared open by the Tourism Deputy Minister.

It has grown into a beautiful swan with its additional facilities, cafe, BBQ stand, better changing rooms, bigger carpark, more and bigger pools…..BUT shower rooms in needed for improvement.

This Panchor Hot spring is managed by the Kampung Panchor community themselves. It has eight separate pools for the visitors to dip themselves or their legs.

Many people believed that a hot spring is good for health especially for blood circulation and other body mis-alignment.

Ranchan Pool

Ranchan Pool is located in Serian District, about 2,039.9 square Kilometers under Samarahan Division.  It is located about 65 KM (40 miles) from Kuching city and takes about 45 minutes drive to reach there.

Serian town is one of the busiest towns especially during festive seasons.  Stores and shops are packed by mainly Bidayuh returning home from Peninsula Malaysia, Singapore or oversee or major towns on Gawai and Christmas holidays.

Tour groups heading for the Skrang, Lemanak and Batang Ai areas often stop here. The main attraction is an excellent farmers' market selling all manner of fruit, vegetables and forest produce, and a thriving fish market. If you are lucky you will also see live sago worms, a favourite local delicacy, offered for sale.

Nearby to the Serian town there is a waterfalls call “Ranchan Pool”.  The Serian District Council (SDC) has a number of Chalets at Ranchan Pool, a recreational Park with waterfalls which is about 5km from Serian town.  It is easily accessible by road.

Discovered a new group of Rafflesia flower in Bukit Tasau, Kpg Lebor, Gedong Road, Serian.  The journey to Bukit Tasau takes about 45 minutes drive from Kuching city to Serian town.  Another 30 minutes from Serian town to the junction of Bukit Tasau foothill (Kpg Lebor) and continued by another 20 minutes drive up to the hill and trekking to the Rafflesia area takes about 25 minutes.
